Pray for people living in the Ukrainian city of Sumy after 35 people were killed and 117 injured in Russia’s missile attack on the city. Continue to pray for the ceasefire talks that any solution to end the conflict will be acceptable to Ukraine as well as Russia.

With an Israeli air strike destroying part of the last fully functioning hospital in Gaza city and The World Health Organisation describing conditions there as ‘beyond description,’ pray for all those needing hospital treatment that they will be able to be kept comfortable and that medics will be able to keep treating patients.

Devastating attacks have taken place on a camp hosting hundreds of thousands of people who had fled Sudan’s civil war. More than 100 civilians including children and a medical team have also been killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. Pray for stability in the region and for those living in refugee camps who are already suffering through lack of food and other basic necessities.

This week marks 11 years since more than 276 girls were kidnapped from their school in Nigeria. Pray for the 91 young women who are still missing and for their families.

Give thanks that jobs and livelihoods in Scunthorpe have been saved with the news that British Steel blast furnaces are set to continue running. Pray that local communities will continue to thrive.

Pray for a resolution to the ongoing dispute between Birmingham City Council and members of the Unite union. Pray that Birmingham residents will be able to dispose of their rubbish responsibly and that measures that have been put in place to contain the build up of rubbish on the streets will be successful.
