About us: prayer

  • The ongoing debate re Asylum seekers and Rwanda, that wise decisions would be made in parliament with wisdom and compassion.
  • The local elections, that the right people will get in who really care about our neighbourhood.
  • Pray for the situation between Iran and Israel, that diplomacy and restraint will prevail
  • Give thanks that humanitarian corridors to let in food and medical supplies are being opened up in Gaza. Pray for protection for aid workers continuing to work in the area and for organisations who are assessing the situation regarding safety of their workers. Pray for the negotiations between Israel and Hamas taking place in Cairo.
  • Continue to pray for the war in Ukraine as UN body urges restraint after the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant was hit.
  • Pray for our local police. With West Midlands Police put in special measures and more than 30 police stations being threatened with closure pray that serving officers will not become disheartened and that Birmingham residents will feel safe.
  • Pray for the elderly living in our community with their concerns around health and mobility, food security, anti- social behaviour and loneliness. Ask God how we at YWBC can identify those who may need help and inspiration as to how we can reach out to them.

No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.
