Continue to pray for the people of Ukraine, in particular those caught up in the Russian missile attacks on Kyiv, Poltava and Lviv (where Lesya lives) this week. Pray for the families and friends of those who were killed and injured.

Give thanks that the World Health Organisation says polio vaccinations of children in central Gaza have ‘surpassed the target’ in the first two days of its immunisation campaign. Pray that the agreed series of localised pauses in the fighting between Israel and Hamas will continue.

Pray for those who have been affected by Typhoon Shanshan in Japan. Pray for the rescue workers and for those involved in the clear up operation.

Give thanks that the government has announced the extension of a fund designed to help with cost-of-living pressures over the winter. Pray that all those who need support will be able to access it.

Hospice UK has warned of a funding crisis and further cuts in services which could include a reduction in the number of beds and job losses. Pray for those who rely on hospice care and for staff at this unsettling time.

Give thanks for all the children and young people who come to YWBC. Pray for them and their leaders as Sunday Groups start up again this week.

Pray for the Ukrainian church who will be meeting at our church for the first time this Sunday afternoon. Ask that God will richly bless them and that all the arrangements for the service will go well.
