Pantry Trustees – Could you be one?
We are looking for some trustees to help support the running of Pantry.
Trustees oversee Pantry’s operation and help to make sure it’s activities are aligned with why it was set up. Trustees also ensure the effective running of the charity as it aims to support the local community.
Trustees have meetings once every 2-3 months.

Pantry operates as a membership scheme and aims to help people make their money go further by:
- reducing food shopping bills (members can save over £500 each year)
- providing advice and support
- developing skills
Membership of Yardley Wood Pantry is for local individuals and families that find it hard to make ends meet each week.
For a membership fee of £5 a week, members can choose ten items from the ‘Pantry shop’, which would have a retail value of around £20. The Pantry shop stocks tinned and packet foods, refrigerated and frozen foods, fresh fruit and vegetables and many usual store favourites. It also stocks some household products such as toiletries and cleaning products.
